ON THE JOB TRAING

Seriously. I'm scared at first. This is one of the most mature thing I have ever done. Haha! I did not even imagine myself going to Ortigas everyday and actually do the real thing - the work. Well, here's a wrap-up of what we have done for the first week! By the way, I am with my forever co-clingy friend so this OJT is 70% fun and 30% tiring. Lol.
Ortigas
Say, hello to Ortigas!
This is the place where I should get used to for 200 hours! Tall buildings, lots of food, and good people. (not to mention the GOOD LOOKING ones, oops!) Not bad, ey?

INCITEGov
The office

THIS. IS. OUR. OFFICE. Yeah, check their website out for more details! (http://incitegov.org/) :) So basically, our office's focus is on peace, good governance and transparency. One thing that we are working on right now (as I am writing this post) is the Peace Summit. The whole office is busy enough that we - interns were like a blessing in disguise for them because finally more person power! Haha! (because human power is too mainstream and manly, lol) So, yes. First day, first task?

Attend a lecture. Document it. So, for our first task, we need to attend and listen to a very meaningful lecture on the history of Mindanao and the Bangsamoro Basic Law and then document it.(did not take a lot of pictures though because I was busy listening, weh?) It was a very meaningful lecture! Some of the attendees were representative from House of Representatives and representatives from different organizations/advocacies like WE ACT 1325; Center for Peace Education, OPAPP; and University of Mindanao. Our next task was to complete the invitation list for the Peace Summit. We get to use our Excel skills!! It was tiiiiiiiiring. We stayed in the office until 8 PM only to finish the quarter of the list. Too many names and contact numbers of so prominent people! That was cool. Our boss even gave us coffee as an appreciation of the typing, clicking, ranting, and crying that we have done. Thank you, Ms. Ace! I really like you!! Hehe.

You still there? Good! Here's day two! We were to continue the quarter-finished list and then our other boss told my friend that she had to do a digest of every news article that we will find about the Bangsamoro Basic Law. Of course, I had to help her. I did! (promise) :) Browse here and there, here and there.

The next day, our boss encouraged us to read this very awesome book of essays about the Bangsamoro Basic Law. She told us that we also need to know what is happening in the BBL so that we could easily communicate with other people who may not be so knowledgeable about it. And so we did. Read this too, people! :)

As of now, the office is still busy organizing the upcoming Peace Summit and we are doing our very best to reach the media and the nation about the said event. :) Next week again, yes? Yes.

PS: I'm barely hanging on. Lol
