Sin-kun

So guys, do you know the guitarist of the J-rock band 'Liquidz Edge'? Sin-kun. Ah, he followed me!! KYAAAA! Okay, I just want to share this. Hahaha. I was surprised!! First, he favorited my tweet about the band stating that Liquidz Edge is my new fave J-rock band. Then he started following me on Twitter!! I am just so happy!!

Then he tweeted me~!! I don't know the exact translation for this, but I think his tweet is about their band being known internationally. Am I right? Haha. Correct me if I'm wrong =)) So, there. HAPPY FANGIRL OVER HERE!! :)

Review: Bloody Monday

(c) dramafansfansub.blogspot.com
First impressions anyone? Well, at first I thought this series was some kind of horror because of the word "bloody" in it. Lol. A friend recommended me this series. Since it is summer, I say "let's give it a shot!" Haha. So I did. To be honest, I did not like it the very first time I watched it. I mean the first part of the first episode. I thought "what is this?!" Haha. I still watched it though. After the first episode I was kinda hooked. Well, not kinda. I AM HOOKED! I was surprised by my own self because I am not the kind of person that gets hooked with a series like this one.

Okay, let me give you a brief summary. Just brief. Haha. The series revolves around a hacker with a pen name 'Falcon' who was being portrayed by Miura Haruma. He is a high-school student with one younger sister and a dad. His dad works at some kind of agency that is responsible for the security of the whole Japan. His dad left them without stating the reason why. Then, 'Falcon' was hired by an agency named 'Third i' to hack. From there, the story will revolve. Bloody Monday is an event which will be explained in the series. (I guess I have to end here. Haha!)

So there. Is that a brief summary? Haha. I really love this drama and so, with no further ado my dear readers, I recommend this series to you. It's thrilling, mind-bugging and very very interesting. If you are a hacker like 'Falcon' for sure you will love this! Or you're involve with some kind of 'spying', this one's for you too! Haha! It is a great drama, I promise! After you finish Season 1, you should finish Season 2 because they are both great!

Hope you enjoy! Send me feedback or if you have questions or you want to suggest a topic or you just want to talk. Haha. Comment below! :) Thank you! <3 :)

Review: Priceless

I have finished this drama a month ago. I must admit that I have decided to see this drama because my 2 ichibans are here. Taisuke Fujigaya and Takuya Kimura :) I have read some of the reviews before starting to watch this drama and I must say that all the reviews were positive and good. The first episode is nice. Easy and smooth, but it will leave you questioning "what will happen next?"

The story is about a guy who got fired from work and lived a poor life with other less-fortunate people in a community and from there, he gained friends and have experienced things that soon helped him become a better man. (enough already, I might be a spoiler if I go on. Haha!)

It exposed the lifestyle of the less-fortunate people in Japan. Here in this drama, you will see how hard it is to live and how simple life is. You will realize the meaning of hard work and passion. You will appreciate every value of money you have and will learn that not all things in the world can be easily achieved.

I have observed that the characters evolved as the story gets better. Through the experiences of the characters, they have gained knowledge and have realized a lot of things.

I guess the title of the drama says a lot. Since 'Priceless' is the title, I think they meant the experiences and the lessons that every character here in the drama have gained. The priceless moments they shared together and the value of life and love that no money can buy. I think, those were the "priceless" things that the writer wants to tell us.

This drama has a good twist and a plot in it. It is worth watching because you will learn stuff and will realize some things. So there, I hope you can get a chance to see this drama and share what you think :)

THANKS FOR READING!! :)

All Wrapped Up!

I have been thinking about what to blog lately. Haha. I've been itching to write something, but I don't want to write something non-sense so I have decided to once again, share to you my readers a slice of my life. Dozo!

This picture wraps it all! I am now officially not a freshie anymore :D I already completed my tasks! Yayyyyy! I must admit that my first year in college had been tough. I have not easily adjusted to the pressure and to the expectations. Of course this also includes finding new friends and enemies. Also, having terror professors that will squeeze the hell out of you. Haha. Kidding aside,  I know that I have adjusted now. I know how to manage my time already and to organize the things I have to do. Yayyy! Time flies so fast. I am really overwhelmed. I cannot thank God enough! Seems like just yesterday when I was just a highschooler and now I am stepping up to the next level of my college life. Hello, second year life. Please be good to me! Yoroshiku~! That's all! :)

Summer Playlist

Hello there! I wanna share my summer playlist for 2013  to all of you readers! :) Let's start!

1. "Summer Paradise"- Simple Plan ft. Taka from ONE OK ROCK

One of the best collabs I have ever heard. By the way, ONE OK ROCK is a famous Japanese rock band. Though his parts are limited, Taka made the song more lovely. Perfect while on a roadtrip!

2. "I Would" - Justin Bieber
It's not about what I want, it's all about what you need.

3. "Wherever You Will Go"- Charlene

I am very sorry The Calling, but I love this more.

4. "Crazy World"- Boys Like Girls

Boys Like Girls is back! Yeah! It's a crazy world after all. Joyride!

5. "Hello Hurricane" - Switchfoot

For a love that cannot be silenced by anyone or anything.

6. "Gathering Stories"- Jónsi

One of the loveliest songs I have ever heard. A masterpiece, I must say.

7. "Start Of Something Good"- Daughtry

That one step might be the start of something good.

8. "All About Us" - He Is We ft. Owl City

The room's hush hush and now's our moment. <3

9. "Take My Hand" - The Cab

I am a newbie The Cab fan. I can't choose which one to recommend so I would just stick to this song for some good vibes :)

10. "A Drop In The Ocean"- Ron Rope

If you are a The Vampire Diaries fan, this might be familiar. I have known the song not because of the series though. Enjoy!

11. "The Beginning"- One Ok Rock

Rurouni Kenshin? Sounds familiar right? I have never liked a Japanese rock band before, but this band made me like the music.

12. "You Sing"- Gilgu Bonggu

A very good vibes song! I love the intro of the guitar. Every time I hear this song play, I could not help but smile :)

13. "Sleeping To Dream" Live Version - Jason Mraz

This one right here is a live version of the song. I think this one is way beautiful than the original one, but it's Jason Mraz anyway so :)

14. "B.A.B.A.Y"- Yeng Constantino

Ang dali kaya magsabi ng BABAY. Good vibes song. Good vibes video as well :D

15. "Give Me Your Hand (Best Song Ever)"- The Ready Set

LSS maybe? :) Jordan always has that sexy voice in every song. Haha. This video is great too! Try listening to the acoustic version of this too.

16. "I Won't Lie" Acoustic Version- Go Radio

Who would not love Jason's voice? Plus the perfect melody and the perfect lyrics. Ah, my feelings <3

17. "Davenport"- Never The Strangers

OPM never dies :)

18. "Rainbow"- David Archuleta

A revival from an OPM band called South Border :) David never fails to give that good vibes I need. His voice is amazing.

19. "Good Life" - One Republic

This song has been one of my favorite ever since 2011. It's been 2 years now. Wow. This never fails to give me good vibes so there :)

20. "Totoro Theme"- Sungha Jung

This cover is a cutie. Well, also the guitarist. Eep! There is no other way to say this, but this is beautiful <3

There you go! Have a happy summer vacay! Don't forget to protect your skin from the summer heat! I hope my playlist gave you a good vibes somehow. Till then! Toodles! :-*

Onion King

Hello there! It's March 17 today! And, it's the onion king's birthday. Haha. JE fangirls would know who I am talking about =))) It's none other than, Tamamori Yuta *^O^*

He is the onion king because the challenge in the variety show where he joined, he needs to live 10000 Yen or about 5, 000 pesos in one month. He thought of buying onions that will be good for one month and stock it in his room. So there. Try watching Ikinari Ougen Dentsu if you want to know more :)

Tama-chan is a very kakkoi (cool) person for me. Even though I don't know him personally, I can see it by the way he acts, dances and sings. He's also very childish at times. Haha. He belongs to a group named Kis-My-Ft2. It contains 7 members and all of them are cool :)

Anyways, I love the way Tama-chan acts. Full of emotions and facial expressions. He has received a variety of roles and so he experienced a lot. From being a chef, to a lead vocalist in a band, to being a brother with a deceased sister and to being a medical student. I am pretty sure that everyone admires him for that. <3

So there, I think I have said enough. Otanjoubi Omedetou, Tama-chan :) God bless!

What Course To Take Up In College?

STILL NOT SURE ON WHAT COURSE TO TAKE? WELL, THIS MIGHT HELP.

College is a big world out there. Something new. Something different. Something hard. Yes, hard. Well, not to threaten you or something. Just saying the reality. Haha. Peace! Anyway, let's go back to the topic. Choosing your course is probably your big struggle right now. I've been there and I know how frustrating and confusing it feels. Knowing that all of your friends have already decided what to take up and you are the only one left to decide. So, as a college student myself, I am here to help you. (hope it helps though) I will not suggest a course or endorse my school or whatnot. Okay, let's start :)

1. Don't be pressured.
Don't be pressured just because all of your friends have already decided which school to go and what course to take. I am pretty sure that they have thought thoroughly about that too. Breathe in. Take your time. Take your time, okay? Not waste your time.

2. Do a research.
I might sound silly, but yes. I have researched about the course that I am taking up right now. Look for the course that match your interests. For example, you like to act;sing and dance then, why not try Theater Arts? If you have a heart for the children and you like teaching then why not go for Education? If you like numbers and all the computing and stuff, why not consider Accountancy or something related to it? Of course, asking would be a good way too. Try asking your parents or siblings. They might help you come up with a decision.

3. Choose your own.
This one might sound selfish, but yes. Choose your own. Don't choose the course just because everybody said it suits well to you. Choose the course that you will not regret, something that you would still smile at and be happy about at the end of the day. Don't choose the course just because the people who have graduated with that degree has high salaries now. Remember, not everyone after graduation gets a job. And of course, be wise on choosing.

4. Be sure.
Be sure about the course that you have chosen. You would not want to change your course in college and go back to first year college, right? So as early as now, be sure about that course. How do you know if you are already sure about it? Only you will know. (oh, how fun)

5. Be Ready.
Since you have chosen your own course and are sure about it, then be ready. Be ready to step-up to college. Be ready for overload works and terror professors. Be ready for new friends and enemies. =))) Be ready for the change. BIG CHANGE.  Be ready for the long nights and everything in between.

College is hard , tough rather. It is tough, but it is fun. More of that freedom that you want (well, this one still depends on the school you will be in) Watch out for my next blog about college life if you are still interested. Thank you for reading! God bless :) Let me know if I have helped you in a way. Would appreciate it! :)

KatsuCafe

So, hello there! :) This week, I and my friends (Donut Club) decided to eat at a cafe near our school. It's not the ordinary cafe we all know. It's a Japanese cafe! :) Welcome to KatsuCafe!

The name says it all. The cafe is all about Katsudons! :) Tonkatsu, Tori katsu, etc. They also sell Gyoza, Kani Salad, Kirin beer, etc. As the first-timers ourselves, we ordered the Katsuretsu set :) The katsu set contains miso soup, unlimited Japanese rice, your own creation of Tonkatsu sauce and of course the tonkatsu/tori katsu/ebi furai :) Dozo.

The sauce is already on the table ( the  second picture) there's also chili powder and chili sauce at the side if you prefer your sauce HOT. =)) Just add the sauce to the bowl of sesame seeds then mix! Make sure to grind those sesame seeds for your sauce to be yummier!

And, tadah! Here is my own Tonkatsu sauce :)

The sets that I and my friends ordered were really worth it. The set is 195 pesos. Good isn't it? :) Their service is really good too! The food is of course, incredible! :) The only problem is, the cafe is small to accommodate 20 persons. But above all, this cafe is really worth trying! :) Go visit them sometimes! :)

I and my friends, looked for a place where we can do our news casting project. Then, we saw this place named "Alchemy" where you can rent a room for meetings or to study.

We rented the conference room that is good for 4-6 people. It costs 600 pesos for 2 hours. Fully air-conditioned, friendly staffs, free wi-fi and such a quiet place. This picture below is the design at the wall of the conference room :)

They even have unlimited coffee! And take note, it is Starbucks! :)

Alchemy also has a study hub for students who wants to study. It costs 180 pesos for 3 hours. Not bad, right? :)

Alchemy is located at Katipunan Avenue above Yellow Cab :) Go try it! :)

STRAWBERRY TAHO

A cold weather and a warm food are always the perfect couple. While we were in Baguio last December, I and my friend craved for taho. Okay, first up. FAST FACT: What is taho? Taho is a very popular street food here in the Philippines. Sold mostly at the morning. Just perfect for a good breakfast. It is made out of fresh silken tofu, caramelized brown sugar also known as arnibal and of course, sago pearls. Going back, when I and my friend, went to Burnham Park, we saw a taho vendor and immediately bought one, but to our surprise, it was not the taho that we expected it to be. It has strawberry syrup, but it is just artificial. We want the natural one!! And so we went to Strawberry farm and there we found the natural strawberry taho that we have been craving for! TADAN!

And they are the "magtatahos". Kuya on the right side is showing the real strawberry that they have. They are so happy that we bought their taho :)

QUICK TIP: If you want to taste the natural strawberry taho in Baguio, don't get fooled by a vendor on the streets! Let them show you the real strawberries they have before you buy!

ILOCOS ICE CREAM

While on a tour at Ilocos, I saw a man selling ice cream. I thought it was just some kind of "dirty ice cream" that we also have in Manila. Since I am sweaty and all, I decided to buy one. The man smiled at me and told me, "masarap po ito, maam." I replied by saying, "sige, kuya. Pabili pong isa." Then he opened the storage. It was a color green ice cream inside!! I thought to myself, "could this be pandan flavor?" Then, he started to scoop then ice cream. When he is all done, he gave me my ice cream. I asked him, "kuya, ano pong flavor nito?" Then he said, "Avocado po." I was surprised! Then he added, "natural po iyan, maam." That made me more surprised! NATURAL?! AVOCADO?! I SHOULD REALLY TASTE THIS!! Then I started to indulge to my ice cream and to my surprise, it was very very very yummy! It is really natural because I can still taste the bitter-ish side of the avocado. I was amazed! I wanted to buy one gallon of it and bring it home, but no. :( Since then, this ice cream has been my favorite.

If you happen to visit Ilocos, don't miss this ice cream!! :) vendors are just out on the street so make sure to look-out for them! This ice cream costs 20 pesos. :)

Moshi-Moshi, Katipunan, Quezon City

The Donut Club (my friends) =)) decided to eat at Moshi-Moshi after stressing ourselves for a requirement. This Japanese restaurant is very affordable especially for a student like me. So, hello there! :)
Donut Club
So here is the table number! :) Haha. While waiting for our foods to be served, we talked about anything that we could think of! (that's the usual us!) =)) They started to serve our foods 5 minutes after we placed our order :)

Table Number
AND FINALLY! *drum roll* Yayy! They're here! :) After 10-15 minutes, our foods are now complete! And of course, I have to take a picture of it! Yeaaaah. LIKE A BOSS. =)))  I had Gyudon (lower left), Paula had Katsudon (lower right) and Fei and Nico had California Maki! :)

After having a very scrumptious lunch, we decided to leave the restaurant. Before leaving, I saw these kawaii things on display. I think they are biscuits being sold! (I think I'm right. Haha!) I badly want the Doraemon one! =)))

Want to visit them? Moshi Moshi is located at the 2nd level, Regis Center, 327 Katipunan Avenue, Brgy. Loyola Heights in Quezon City. Call them at 990-2272.

TRAVEL: ILOCOS

ILOCOS TOUR

One of the requirements that we have to do is to attend the Ilocos tour. This one is not for free, but it is a worth-it experience. So, here goes the tour. ( be ready for a lot of historical places)

We stayed at a hotel named Playa Tropical Resort Hotel (link) located at  Currimao, Ilocos Norte.
Playa Tropical Resort Hotel
Our first stop is the Marcos Museum (link). A museum that is all about our former president, Ferdinand E. Marcos. The museum contains all his achievements and memories.

Next stop is the World Peace Center (Marcos Photo Gallery)

Telegrams

Then we went to the Malacanang Palace of the North.

The front view

The veranda

The view from the veranda

The whole place is well-maintained. When you get inside the palace, you will really feel the ambiance of royalty that time. It is like stepping on a very prestigious ground. (it is, indeed)

Our next stop is...MY FAVORITE!
Bangui Windmills
The windmills! It is such a magical feeling to have seen them "waving" at me. The cool breeze relaxed my whole body and made me wanted to stay there forever. I and my friends kept saying that someday, we will build our houses behind those windmills! (I'd really love too!) There is just really something about this place that made me want to stay. I suggest that if you will go to Ilocos, never miss this place! How to go there? (click here)

Next up is the Padre Burgos House. FAST FACT: Padre Burgos is one of the Filipino martyrs (GomBurZa) who were executed. Padre Burgos became the target of the Roman Catholic authorities because of his strong nationalistic view.

Fr. Jose Burgos

This one below is called garrote or "strangling machine". The victim's head will be put in that rounded-shape thing. See the shaft behind the wood that is connected to the round-shape thing? That one will be twisted until the victim cannot breathe anymore. Garrote was the one used for the execution of the three Filipino martyrs.

Garrote
This one below explains the execution of the Gomburza.

 Next stop is...CRISOLOGO MUSEUM!

Mr. Floro S. Crisologo is a congressman and a very legendary man. He is the man behind the Social Security System that up until now is serving the Filipinos. The museum is well-maintained. Every place inside the museum is well-taken care of.

And then...PAGBURNAYAN! FAST FACT: "Pagburnayan" means a place to make a pot.
The incredible thing here is pot-molders still uses the 'old-school' way of making a pot.

Then, we went to Mr. Chavit Singson's BALUARTE. The Baluarte is big and clean! It is a good place where families and barkadas can chill, relax and have some fun with the animals.

And lastly, HERITAGE VILLAGE! :)

I suggest that you take a kalesa ride if you want to see the whole village. In this village, you can buy pasalubongs that you can bring home to your family and friends! :) Affordable empanadas, bagnets, chichacorns, kalamays and many more! :) Don't forget to budget your money! you might get overwhelmed by the stuff that you will see! :) Enjoy!

It has been a fruitful and fun trip in Ilocos. I have learned so much about History and a lot more! :) Thank you for reading! :)

*if you want to take the pictures that are in here, kindly credit me. Thank you! :)
