Mt. Batulao

Mt. Batulao was AMAZING. Great view. Great people. Great everything! Started hiking at around 5:30 AM. Yep! Running on 1 hour sleep, hehe! But it was really worth it! :) I was with my college friends - there were 7 of us (all girls) uhuh!

Had to do some rappelling on the way up! Thank God kuya Junnel (if I remember it right), our guide, was there to help us. I can slowly feel the heat! Fret not if you get thirsty while hiking because there are people selling drinks at every campsite. But I suggest that you bring your own water too! My friend recommended me 2L of water, and yes you'll really need that or more! :)

See that top right there? That's the summit - Camp 10! Yeeeaaaah. Way to go!

And after 3 hours, wow. Hello, Camp 10!

AND THE VIEW - HERE IT IS! HELLO MT. BATULAO! :)

This place is highly recommended for everyone who wanted to try mountain hiking :) You guys will really enjoy! Nothing beats the feeling of reaching the summit of a mountain and seeing what you have been through. Everything was worth it. God is really amazing! Really wondrous!

PS: It was my first time to do mountain hiking and I'll definitely do more!

PROJECT BBL PART 2

May 13, 2015 - Second day of shooting for the Project BBL. Woke up at 7 AM. Yep, yep. Had to go to my boss at 7:30 AM to have breakfast and go straightly to Mr. Jim Paredes' house. The shooting was done at his house simply because we have no studio at that time so we decided to go where the artists are and in Mr. Paredes' case, in his house. The shoot was an amazing experience for me because we got to see Mr. Jim Paredes and his house. (isn't this redundant? lol) Okay, so setting aside that fact (haha!), Mr. Jim Paredes was one of a kind. He really is a supporter of the cause. He's cooperative and very welcoming. Thank you, sir!

The shooting went on up until 9 AM. Our next stop was at the Former Chief Justice Hilario Davide's place. His schedule was around 12 noon. He was in a meeting that day somewhere in Tomas Morato so we had to go there to have him shot. When we came in, CJ (Chief Justice) Davide was still in a meeting, but as soon as he found out that we are already inside the restaurant, he excused himself in the meeting and went to us to do the shoot. The shoot for CJ Davide was easy and informative. He knows what to say and when to say it. When the shoot was done, he even offered the whole production team a lunch buffet in which we respectfully declined. Thank you, sir CJ Davide! It was amazing! :)

Next stop was at the House of the Representatives. We were going to shoot Rep. Leni Robredo  and Rep. Djalia Hataman. While waiting, we grabbed some lunch first! Yey! First up was Rep. Leni Robredo. She was just - PERFECT. Wow. I have never seen a woman as modest as her. She's elegant and wise. Oh and that white shirt she's wearing? That was the shirt of her staff. Rep. Robredo did not get the memo that we need white shirt for the shoot. The production team thought of borrowing her staff's shirt for the shoot. She gladly said yes and Rep. Robredo wore it without a doubt.

Last stop was at Rep. Djalia Hataman. Yey! You guys, she's so RADIANT! Really pretty! :( I wish I had her charm and beauty. Uuuuuhhhhh. Hehe, anyways. Rep. Djalia Hataman was nice as seen on TV, hehe! Out of all the personalities involved in the project, I bet Rep. Hataman was the closest to the issue because she is a Muslim herself. The shoot was easy for her though it took many tries for her to perfect a line, but nevermind (haha!) Thank you, Rep. Djalia Hataman! Hooray for that wonderful shoot! :)

After the shooting, we were bound to go to a meeting in Makati. It is a CSO meeting regarding the passage of the Bangsamoro Basic Law.

And that was my day. Hooray! :)

THIS IS HOW YOU BROKE ME

I was staring blankly at the sky. Listening to the sound of the ocean. Feeling the crisp of the sand. I closed my eyes and fell asleep, slowly and all at once. This is how you broke me. You were the wave and I was the shore. You were there, conquering the sea and giving life to the creatures underneath. I was there, waiting for you. Come and go, come and go. All you do is give me some and leave with none. I did not mind. I would not mind. I gladly accepted you every time although I know you will just wash me down again.

As I fell asleep, I felt the sun kissed my face. It did not hurt that much, but  I surely was damaged by its heat. This is how you broke me. You were the sun and I was the flower. You made me grow and gave me life. I depended too much on you that I forgot that you could only bring me your warmth and nothing else. Maybe, just maybe, I accepted too much of your warmth that I withered.

Unfortunately, the weather was a little courageous to let the rain come down. I slowly felt the drops. They were dripping, nothing and no one can ever stop them from falling. This is how you broke me. You were the lightning and I was the thunder. In every storm, we are always close to each other, but we never meet. You travel too fast I was already left behind. All I can do is shriek and make you notice that yes, I am here. Relentlessly chasing you. Every storm, yes, every storm this is what we do.

How could it possibly be that the wave keeps coming back to the lonely shore though it knows that it'll have to leave again?  How can the sun give so much warmth that the flowers withered? How can the lightning travel too fast without taking into consideration that something may be left behind? Maybe, they were just like you after all. You keep coming back to check up on me, but you do know that you will have to leave. You gave me so much warmth and when you suddenly walked away, I realized how withered I have become because I always choose to hide under your shadow. You travel too fast and did not look back. You did not look back. And that is how you broke me. Slowly and all at once.

PROJECT BBL

So, hello there! Almost a month since my last entry so I guess, it is an enough evidence that I have been busy. Yeah. :) So for the past few weeks, we have been contacting production managements and celebrities. I contact celebrities and managers in particular. :) We have been doing it since April 21, I guess? Then, come May 7 - the first shooting day! HOORAY! PROJECT BBL!

Chino Roces Ave., Makati at 10:30 AM. Yeeeeah.

Tada! Tres Marias! Okay, okay. Some might not be familiar with this group. Let me introduce them :) The group consists of  (L-R) Ms. Bayang Barrios - Member of Ang Bagong Lumad, Ms. Lolita Carbon - Lead singer of Asin, and Ms. Cookie Chua- Member of Color It Red. The group is famous for their songs that promote peace, love for the environment and the country. They do believe that the Bangsamoro Basic Law will be a great avenue for sustaining peace in the country and in Mindano.

Tres Marias

ROBIN PADILLA!! He was very passionate for this cause. He was discussing in the dressing room about the BBL and how other government officials might help for the betterment of the country. :) Mr. Robin Padilla is a supporter of peace and so, where there is peace, there he'll be. LOL!

The shoot ended exactly at 7 PM. HUUUUNNNGGGRRRRYYYYY! Hello, Makati by night! Rain poured that night so my boss and I had to find shelter under the roof of the guardhouse of a random building before going out for dinner, lol.

Makati

8:00 PM and we were on a taxi. My boss and I were both craving for Japanese food so she decided to eat at a Japanese restaurant that she knows in Makati. 8:30 PM and we were on Skyway. Yep, Skyway. WE GOT LOST. GAAAAHD MY STOMACH THOUGH!! 9:00 PM and we were in a jeepney. We need to go back to Chino Roces because it is where the restaurant is! WHAAAAAT 9:30 PM and we found ourselves inside a pedicab because we had to go to Little Tokyo because the restaurant is near there. NEAR THERE. My boss called the restaurant to ask for directions. AND FINALLY!! ALL WE HAD TO DO IS WALK!!! FOR 15 MINUTES MORE. MEEEH

 AND FINALLY~!  HELLO NIHONBASHI TEI!!

It's a feast!

Cold Noodles

While waiting for our platter of goodness gracious food, we talked to Mr. Jim Paredes over the phone for his schedule for the upcoming TVC shoot! Yehey! :) Then my boss and I had this heart-to-heart conversation about life, career, and love. It was nice getting to know her actually! She's like a big sister :) She had a lot of experience and passionate about her advocacy. Thanks, Miss Tiff! :)

PS: Don't dare to ask what time I got home. Just imagine: MAKATI - MARIKINA
